This week in class, we’ve explored a wide range of exciting topics across our subjects!
In English, we looked at The Lady of Shalott by Alfred, Lord Tennyson in 1832, diving into its mysterious story and poetic language. We identified the meaning of some tricky words and devleped an understanding of the first part of the poem.
In Science, we planned our experiment to find out which materials are soluble, thinking carefully about our methods and predictions. We discussed the difference between 'melting' and 'dissolving' and used our knowledge to predict which materials would be soluble and insoluble in water.
Our History lessons took us back to the Anglo-Saxon era, where we explored each of the kingdoms and decided which one we thought was the most powerful to answer the question, 'Which Anglo Saxon kingdom was the most powerful?', giving reasons from our research to explain why.
In RE, we discussed the importance of the Lord’s Prayer and what it means to different people.
Finally, in Spanish, we learned how to tell the time, practising new vocabulary and phrases. It’s been a busy and brilliant week of learning!
