Year 5 have had another brilliant week,  working hard again and showing us they are all successful learners.

We have read the end of our Beowulf story and used the text to find evidence about how the different charcters had been feeling, make sure you ask the children what they thought of Grendel's end!

In Maths, we have moved onto addition and subtraction. We are working with larger numbers now so we are making sure we are confident with a more compact method.

In Art we studied 'The Haytstack' and have looked at each different versions that Monet produced and analysed the differences with light and shadows and colours.

In History we looked at the different Anglo-Saxons tribes and where they came from. We completed some map work to show their origins, the journey the different tribes took across the North Sea and the places they settled in England.

We are looking forwad to next week where we have more exciting learning planned, we hope you have a wonderful weekend.
