What a fantastic end to our first half term in Year 5!
We’ve completed our history unit on the Anglo-Saxons and discovered the incredible legacy they left behind—from place names to storytelling traditions. The children have absolutely loved diving into this topic and have learnt so much along the way!
In maths, we’ve mastered multiplication and division, exploring square numbers, prime numbers, factors, cube numbers, and multiples like true number detectives.
We’ve also been out and about serving our community with a litter pick in Standish—because we love keeping our town clean and green.
In computing we tackled computer aided design using Tinkercad to finish designing our badges, which we will print out on the 3D printer in readiness to sew onto our hats we will be making next half term.
It’s been a half term full of learning, creativity, and kindness. We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved and wish everyone a safe and happy half term—see you in a week, ready for more adventures!
Happy Halloween!
