In Maths, we have continued to work hard and show great focus in our lessons. We have now completed our learning on multiplication and division, using a range of strategies to solve problems, and have begun our new topic on fractions, where we are multiplying integers by unit and non-fractions.
In English, we have produced some brilliant flashback writing inspired by Gunnar. The depth of ideas, imaginative language, and effort that has gone into this work has truly blown us away, and pupils should be very proud of what they have achieved.
In Science, we have started our exciting new unit on forces. We have been learning about the force of gravity, exploring Galileo’s early theories, and understanding how Isaac Newton later built on these ideas to explain how gravity works. We tested Galileo's theory and found out that objects of different masses, which are the same shape and size fall at the same speed and reach the ground at the same time!
In PE, we have begun our new units of gymnastics and orienteering. In gymnastics, we are working on balance, movement, and developing sequences, while in orienteering we are learning how to navigate and work together effectively.
In RE, we have continued our unit on Hinduism, deepening our understanding of Hindu beliefs and practices.
In history, we have been learning about the Vikings, focusing on where they came from and when they first arrived, helping us to build a strong timeline of this period in history.
Another brilliant week, we are looking forward to more learning on Monday! Have a lovely weekend.
