What a busy and brilliant week we've had in class!

We’ve conquered our place value unit in maths like true number ninjas, sharpening our skills and confidence in order to round numbers up to 1,000,000 to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 and 100,000.

In English, we travelled back in time to the world of Beowulf, stepping into his mighty boots to write diary entries full of bravery and battles, we can't wait to read on to find out who wins!

In history, we became Anglo-Saxon explorers, mapping out the ancient kingdoms and discovering where they settled across the UK, they clearly didn't like the coldness of the Scottish lands.

In Art, this week, we have been analysing the art work of Claude Monet. We looked at his painting 'The Studio Boat' painted in 1876 and thought about how we would describe it - it was very interesting to find out that we all had different ideas about the painting and could see different things in it. We also thought about how the painting made us feel and came up with questions we woud ask Monet if we could interview him.

And in DT, we’ve taken our first steps into the world of computer-aided design, creating digital badge designs that will be 3D printed and sewn onto our hats in Autumn 2. We’re mixing creativity with technology—and we can’t wait to see our designs come to life!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend and we will see you ready for another brilliant week on Monday.
