Year 4 Weekly Update
This week in Year 4, we have been very busy and have achieved so much!
English:
We began exploring our new poem The Spider and the Fly. The children have been developing their skills in understanding and unpicking unfamiliar vocabulary, helping them to really grasp the meaning and mood of the poem.

Maths:
In Maths, we have been focusing on finding the most efficient methods for subtraction and using estimation to check our answers. We also spent time practising our 11 times tables — the children have done brilliantly and are becoming much more confident with them!

Design & Technology:
Our chocolate cushion project has been in full swing this week! The children have been learning lots of different sewing techniques and have been carefully stitching all the parts together. The cushions are looking fantastic — we can’t wait for you to see them!
