Good Afternoon.

Another superb week completed in Year 1, all of the children have been working really well!

In English, we received another parcel on Monday morning, this weeks book has been 'Clean Up' it is a wonderful story all about a young girl who wants to clean up all the rubbish on the beach with her grandparents. The children have produced some wonderful written responses throughout the week.  

In Maths, the children have been looking at one more and one less of numbers.

In Science, the children have been looking at animal body parts and comparing different animal characteristics.

In Geography, we explored the different amenties Standish has to offer such as Post Office, Vets, Doctors and Libary. The children took part in role play activities to act out what service these amenties provide for people.

In Sounds Write, we have been looking at the /ee/ sound and learnt four different ways of reading and writing the /ee/ sound /e/ /ea/ /y/ /ee/. 

Homework this week is on MyMaths.
