Y1P 21/11/25

Date: 21st Nov 2025 @ 9:25am

Another extremely busy week completed in Y1P, al if the children have worked exceptionally well this week and I have been very proud of their hard work!

In English, the children thought about what stories the boy read the penguin on their journey to the South Pole.

In Maths, the children have been finding a part of an amount by subtracting. The children have also looked at fact families and how 8 number sentences can be created using 3 numbers.

In Science, we went on a nature walk around school to look for the different signs of Autumn! We saw lots of leaves on the ground, mushrooms and conkers!

In Computing, the children explored the artist Henri Matisse and worked hard to recreate one of his pieces using the tools they have been practicing on 'Paintz'.

Lots of fun was had down at Forest School again! It was certainly a cold one this week, a polite reminder Thursday 27th November will be our last session.

Homework this week is Sounds Write activies practising the /e/ sound.

Any questions, please ask!
