This week in Maths, the children have continued to explore numbers up to 20. They have been busy ordering numbers, completing number tracks and number lines, and discovering different ways to represent 20.
In English, we’ve been thinking about Sunny from our class text. The children imagined what Sunny might pack in his suitcase and explored how Sunny’s mum might feel when she discovers that Sunny has gone to find somewhere else to live.
In Geography, the children have learned about the five oceans of the world. They can now name and locate the Southern Ocean, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and Pacific Ocean on a map.
In DT, we focused on food hygiene. The children learned why it’s important to keep our hands and surfaces clean when preparing food, and how good hygiene helps keep us healthy.
In Science, we have continued to learn about the different months that fall within the four seasons. We have looked closely at December, January and February.
Homework this week is Sounds Write activities based on the /oo/ sound the children have been learning.
Any questions, please ask!
