This week in Drawing Club we read ‘Lila and the secret of rain’ by David Conway and Jude Daly. We drew Lila and described things that made us happy. We continued to learn about Africa, we discussed what animals we might see on Safari and looked at the different types of housing and clothing in Kenya. We also made African inspired jewellery too!
In Maths, we have been thinking about positional language. We enjoyed re-enacting ‘what the ladybird heard’ and tricked the robbers to fall into the duck pond! We also read ‘Cockatoos’ by Quentin Blake and had fun finding all the cockatoos and describing where they were hiding.
Four of our butterflies emerged this week and the children were excited to watch them being released.
We consolidated our learning in RE and made a page in the floor book to celebrate all the ways we can look after our World. We revisited the artist Vincent Van Gogh and looked at some of his self-portraits before having a go at creating our own. It has been a very busy week!
Have a lovely weekend.
