This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We have been Spring cleaning and beginning to make decorations for our home corner. 
We read Julia Donaldson's 'The Magic Paintbrush' in Drawing Club and let our imaginations run wild thinking of things we might paint. The children have shown lots of interest in dragons and have enjoyed learning a dragon dance song in music as well as crafting their own dragon head for our parade next week.

We have been exploring doubles in Maths and the children were mesmerised by a 'magic' doubling box which sadly only worked for Miss Tolley! We also represented the numbers 6, 7 and 8 in different ways.

In PE we continued travelling and jumping, adding balances into our repatoir and in RE we learned about the story of David and Goliath.

In club, we made a Chinese dragon together out of paper plates!

We are very much looking forward to welcoming some of you into school for phonics sessions next week.
