RT 30/1/26

This week we have continued to think about toys from the past. The children became designers and makers as they created their own peg doll characters. They planned their designs, selected materials thoughtfully and showed great focus and perseverance. The finished dolls were all wonderfully unique, and the children were delighted to show off their hard work. They have brought them home with them today.

In Drawing Club, we dived into the much‑loved Bagpuss animation. The children were captivated by the characters and storyline, sparking lots of thoughtful discussion and imaginative ideas. This inspiration flowed into their drawings, where they carefully added details and proudly shared their creations.

Our maths learning focused on recognising and representing the numbers 6, 7 and 8. The children enjoyed counting objects, matching numerals to quantities and exploring one more and one less. It has been a joy to see them using mathematical language so confidently and developing a stronger understanding of numbers.

We continued to practise jumping and travelling like a caterpillar in PE and Mr Carr was very impressed by the children’s efforts.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We are incredibly proud of the children and can’t wait for another fun‑filled week of learning ahead!
