What a lovely week we have had in Reception!

This week in Drawing Club, we read Lila and the Secret of Rain. The children thought of different emotions to tell the sky to get the rain to start and drew Lila on the summit (top of a mountain) herself.

In maths, we have been exploring maps. The children followed the map that the two bad men made in What the Ladybird Heard to steal the prize cow and acted it out themselves. We have also been looking at pictures of the classroom and trying to visualise where the person was standing when they took the photograph.

We have continued learning about Kenya and have discussed the weather and the clothing that people wear.

We have been very lucky to have had a sunny week and have enjoyed spending time outdoors, in the water tray and making foot spas!
