We have had a lovely week back in Reception, full of fun and exciting learning!

In Drawing Club, after reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children used their imagination to think of ways the caterpillar could escape from the hungry bird. They also talked about what they would like to transform into, sharing lots of imaginative ideas.

In maths, the children had great fun with the naughty kangaroo who kept stealing our number towers! This helped us practise numbers beyond 10 and build towers all the way up to 20.

In science, we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly and drew the different stages in order.

In art, we have been learning about the artist Lucy Arnold. We have been exploring symmetry and used mirrors to help us draw the other half of a butterfly.

We have also enjoyed spending time outside in the lovely sunshine.
