This week in Drawing Club, we read Handa’s Surprise. The children designed a new way for Handa to carry her fruit and thought of clever ways to trick the animals to stop them stealing it!

The whole of Reception enjoyed a lovely trip to the forest. They had lots of fun making bunting to decorate our forest hut with Mrs Grimshaw.

Sports Day was the highlight of the week – I am so proud of the children and all their effort!

In art, we drew our own self-portraits using soft pastels, and they have turned out beautifully.

As if all this wasn’t enough, we had some very special visitors on Friday! Mr and Mrs Hargreaves came in to talk to the children all about being Crime Scene Investigators. They showed us how to spot fingerprints on a glass vase, which the children found fascinating, before taking everyone’s fingerprints – a very special and unique souvenir of their visit.

We also had a lovely Father’s Day assembly where the children sang a beautiful song for all the important men in their lives. We hope you all enjoyed it.
