We have had a lovely final week of the spring term in Reception.

 

In Drawing Club, we focused on the story The Odd Egg by Emily Gravett. The children enjoyed talking about how Duck’s egg looked very different from the others and made predictions about what might hatch. 

 

In Math's, we have been looking at more complex repeated patterns. The children made their own action patterns and enjoyed making pattern bracelets.

 

We spent time learning about the story of Easter, discussing its meaning and the changes that happen during spring and the children enjoyed participating in some lovely Easter activities in the classroom.

 

Following on with the children’s Sunflower collages, the children evaluated their work, talking about what they liked and what they would change next time. Their collages were then used to create a bright and cheerful classroom display for everyone to enjoy.
