This week , the children have written impressive recounts in English. They have worked so hard to use a range of time adverbials and ensure that they included commas to tell this part of the story in an exciting sequence. I was very impressed at the amount of subject specific terminology the children used to add detail to their recounts.
In Maths, we have looked ad converting pounds and pence and adding money. The children know that £1 is equal to 100p and could, therefore, add money with ease.
The children were thrilled to start learning about the Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses in History. They defined the meaning of the word God and identified a range of the Gods and Goddesses from Ancient Egyptian History, as well as finding out what they were the God of. The children then wrote a small paragraph explaining what the Ancient Dgyptians believed about their Gods.
In Forest School this week, the children learned how to tie knots. They tied Clove Hitch knots to different items they could find in the forest. The weather was beautiful and the children loved exploring in the sun!
