This week in Year 4 has been full of exciting learning experiences.
In Maths, the children have been working with money, developing their understanding of pounds and pence, partitioning amounts and using estimation skills.
In English, we planned a recount from the point of view of Bran, focusing on his experiences hiding during the attack from the Caledonians.
In History, we explored artefacts linked to Boudica, discussing whether they were primary or secondary sources and what they can tell us about the past.
In Science, we began our new topic on sound and investigated how sound travels
. We also enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in Forest School, where the children practised making different knots, built dens and had lots of fun playing Romans and Celts.
This week’s homework focus is the Art Carousel, spellings and continuing regular practice on TT Rockstars. Please remember all homework needs to be returned by Wednesday. Have a lovely weekend!
