We’ve had a great first week back after half term!
In Maths, we continued our ‘Addition and Subtraction’ unit. We looked at subtracting two numbers across 100, adding and subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers and complements to 100.
In English, we started our new class text ‘Stig of the Dump’ by Clive King. We read about how inquisitive Barney is and discovered that ‘Stig’ is a ‘somebody’ who lives in a chalk pit!
In Geography, we finished our unit on Agriculture with an enquiry question. The children created some fantastic responses to the question ‘How are humans and farming linked?’.
In Science, we finished our unit on Plants with an enquiry question. The children wrote some amazing answers to the question ‘What do plants need to grow?’.
In Computing, we started a new unit all about Stop-frame Animation. This week we learned that a picture can in fact move and created some fantastic flipbooks.
In Art, we evaluated our final pieces that we did before half term based on the work of William Morris.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Miss Robinson
