This week has been full of creativity, curiosity, and thoughtful reflection. In English, we wrote persuasive letters to the Lady of Shalott, encouraging her to stay at her loom and avoid the curse by not looking out the window to meet Sir Lancelot. In Science, we completed our first investigation of the year, writing up our conclusions and discussing which solids were soluble and which were not. We have drawn on our artistic skills this week and created our own impression of Monet's Japanese Bridge and Waterlillies. We used impasto techniques to layer acrylic paint to add texture. We are very proud of our final pieces. We will use these skills next week to create our own Autumnal Landscape. In Maths, we wrapped up our multiplication and division unit, and now we all understand square and cubed numbers. In History, we investigated the fascinating site of Sutton Hoo and discovered what was found there and why it’s so important. Another brilliant week of learning and discovery, have a wonderful weekend and we will see you on Monday for the last week of half term.
