We’ve had a fabulous week in Year 3! 

In Maths, we have continued our unit on fractions and looked at how we can count in fractions on a scale or a number line. 

In English, we have been looking at the book 'The street beneath my feet'. We have looked at how the book is organised in short sentences and paragraphs with pictures to help understand the book. We also created expanded noun phrases and looked at the different senses used within the text. 

In History, we started our new unit on the Egyptians. We looked at the first ancient civilisations and what their achievements were. 

In Science, we have started our new unit on 'Forces and magnets' and have explored what friction is.
