A huge well done to all the children this week for their hard work and dedication, especially with completing their assessments — they have truly done an amazing job!
In English, we focused on writing character descriptions inspired by Land of Roar, paying special attention to using the different senses to bring the characters to life. In Maths, we began exploring statistics, learning how to read and interpret bar charts and pictograms.
Our Art lessons involved creating print blocks as part of our final design, drawing inspiration from Hokusai’s famous artwork. In Geography, we studied the different types of volcanoes, understanding the meanings of active, dormant, and extinct, and discovering why volcanoes erupt.
We finished the week with a fun Friday morning in the forest, climbing trees and building dens.
For homework this week, children have an Art Still Life Carousel task, along with times tables and spelling practice.
Wishing everyone a lovely, restful weekend!
