27.3.26

Date: 27th Mar 2026 @ 3:30pm

This week in Year 4 has been full of exciting learning!

In English, we planned and wrote persuasive letters as Boudica, encouraging the tribes to join her army against the Romans. In Maths, we explored dividing 1- and 2-digit numbers by 10.
Our History lessons focused on Julius Caesar and Emperor Claudius, comparing why Caesar’s attempts to invade Britain failed and how Claudius learned from these mistakes to succeed—something the children found fascinating. In Science, we used classification keys to identify the characteristics of different animals and insects. In Art, we began our final still life drawings, applying all the techniques we’ve practised. In Computing, we became data loggers, recording temperature changes throughout the day from a video and discussing the challenges involved.

This week’s homework is the Music Carousel, spellings, and 20 minutes of TT Rockstars Garage practice. Have a lovely weekend!
