We've had a fantastic week back after half term!

In Maths, we have started our new unit on fractions. The children have learned what a unit fraction and a non-unit fraction is and how 1 whole is when the numerator is the same as the denominator.

In English, we have been looking at the poem 'My mother saw a dancing bear' and how it includes a ABCB rhyming pattern. The children have loved coming up with their own rhyming couplets for describing Lokka the leopard from our previous book!

In Geography, we have finished our unit on 'rivers'. We looked at where the River Nile is,  how it is used and the environmental issues the River Nile faces.

In DT, we have made our drawstring bags and evaluated our design. I am so proud of how well the children have made their bags and how they persevered when faced with different challenges when sewing!

I hope you have a lovely weekend!
