We have had another busy week in Year 2, the children have worked extremely hard and we are so proud of how much effort that they have put into all tasks set.
During our Maths lessons, we have been drawing our own pictograms. We then interpreted data from pictograms using a key to help us to identify how much each symbol was worth.
In English, we have continued to read 'Pugs of the Frozen North'. We considered why Sir Basil was not a very nice person and we are really looking forward to finding out what happens next!
In DT, we designed our own moon buggies. We thought carefully about what equipment we would need including, wheels, axles and washers. We started to paint our moon buggies and we are really looking forward to constructing them next week.
In Science, we have been thinking about why the properties of different materials make them suitable for their purpose. We used scientific vocabulary to describe the materials including transparent, opaque, absorbent and waterproof.
In History, we really enjoyed learning about Mae Jemison. We learnt about her life and why she is such a significant individual. We also made comparisons between Mae Jemison and Neil Armstrong.
Well done Year 2 for another brilliant week.
Have a lovely weekend!
