Many of our Year 6 pupils have now taken part in transition visits to Standish High and have come back full of excitement and a few nerves about this important next step. We are also incredibly proud of our Boccia team, who performed brilliantly at the North West Boccia Championship. They finished in second place, officially making them the second best team in the region. What a fantastic achievement!
In History, we have continued our work on the Industrial Revolution. This week, we explored the advantages and disadvantages of industrial growth and discussed how it changed people’s lives. The children have had some thoughtful conversations about the effects of progress on society and the environment.
We have also begun our final Science unit of the year, focusing on evolution and inheritance. The children have been learning about the work of Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace and how their discoveries have shaped our understanding of how living things change over time.
