Believe Sports Awards

Last Saturday evening was the annual Believe Sports Awards, which was held at the Edge in Wigan. It was a night that celebrated the inspirational achievers and unsung heroes of our amazing sports community in the borough. A huge congratulations goes to the Wood Fold Boccia team of 2024-2025 for achieving the runners up prize for the Team of the Year Award!

This was down to their amazing success of winning both the Wigan and Greater Manchester Boccia competition, earning themselves a place in the North West regional finals in Liverpool. Here, the team made it all the way to the finals of the competition finishing as runners-up! An amazing achievement overall! Mr Carr and Mr Speakman were both presented the award by ex-Super League referee James Child.

A big shout goes to Lyla (Y6) for being nominated for the ‘Young Sports Achiever Award’ for all of her accolades and amazing accomplishments in tennis over the last year. We have no doubt this won’t be the last time Lyla will be attending the Believe Sports Awards in the future!

Wood Fold Open Day

School Admissions 2026

As part of our welcome we would like to invite you to our Open Day, which is being held on Tuesday 4th November from 9.30 am - 10.30 am or 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm. You will be shown around school and have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you may have. There will also be a chance to look at the curriculum we offer to the children, and see the work our children produce.
