This week we have introduced our dinosaur topic! The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning interesting facts about dinosaurs such as how they lived, what they ate, what they looked like and what they were called.

In Drawing Club, we read ‘Dinosaur Roar!’ by Paul and Henrietta Stickland. The children enjoyed using different describing words for each of the dinosaurs in the story such as meek and fierce, they have then continued this lovely vocabulary in their play.

In Maths we have continued with sorting and have begun to compare amounts using the words 'more' and 'fewer'. We have created our own sorting rules and techniques with buttons and various objects in the class.

We have continued with the sound’s /n/, /o/and /p/ which we have used to build and read words.

The children had a great time in the forest this week and we have had lovely weather for it as well! They planted acorns and built dens and learned all about how a small acorn can grow into an Oak tree.
