We have had an amazing first week back! 

In Maths, we have continued to work with fractions. The children absolutely flew through a range of questions that required the. To add and subtract fractions with the same denominator. This helped to establish their understanding of a whole. 

In History, the children were very excited to start learning about Pharaohs. They created a graphic orgnaiser to develop a good understanding of the definition of the word and are excited to learn more about what the Pharaohs were like. 

In Science, we did a mini science experiment! The children used megnets to test the magnetism of different objects and found that not all metals are magnetic. The only magnetic metals are: ironm nickel or steel. They discovered that if an object contained one of these metals, it would be magnetic. 

This morning, we had a session of Forest Schools. The children loved exploring the outdoor area with one another. They played games, built dens, collected sticks and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. Next week, they will be learning to tie a series of knots to use to make a den. 

I'm thrilled to announce that Y3G were the big winners of Pom poms this week and won a session to 'iPad Time'. We, also, won class points and will enjoy an extra playtime next week! Well done, Y3G, for such an incredible week!
