2/5/25
Date: 2nd May 2025 @ 11:23am
This week, we’ve been tackling mean, median, and mode, learning how to find and interpret averages in different sets of data. After that, we moved into some exciting shape work, exploring 2D and 3D shapes and recapping our knowledge of angles. The children have impressed us with their quick thinking and problem-solving skills: great preparation as we head into SATs!
In English, we’ve been diving deep into the grammar curriculum, covering everything from relative clauses and apostrophes to prepositions and beyond. We’ve also been getting stuck into poetry, exploring the ways authors use language to create mood and imagery. We read a range of poems including Journey of a River, and even poems about animals in the jungle. The children loved discussing the messages behind each poem and showed excellent understanding of the wide of themes within each piece.
