This week in Year 4 has been full of exciting learning and experiences.
In English, we have been answering read and response questions based on Bran’s actions, exploring how he was amazed by the Roman soldiers but justified his reactions as he did not want to appear weak in front of them. We also focused on answering two‑mark questions and linking our ideas clearly.

In Maths, we continued our work on decimals, partitioning them into tenths and hundredths and learning how to manipulate them flexibly. In History, we explored the different Roman formations and had great fun practising them outside, helping us understand why the Roman army was so successful.

In Science, we learned about the negative impact humans have had on the environment and discussed ways we can reduce these effects to help protect habitats. In Art, we evaluated our own artwork, identifying the techniques we have used and what we are most proud of.

We finished the week with a fantastic Thursday in the forest, building dens, climbing trees and exploring the wildlife around us. Next week, we have our final times tables test practice, so please encourage plenty of times tables practise over the weekend.

Homework this week is a Science carousel, spellings and TT Rockstars. Have a lovely weekend
