Week 7 Summary:
This week in English, we explored Chapter 15 of our class text, focusing on ordering key events and planning our retell. In Maths, the children worked on column addition and subtraction, both with and without exchange, and practised their 6 and 9 times tables with great enthusiasm. In Geography, we learned about Fairtrade and discussed how it supports farmers and promotes sustainability. Our Science lessons took us through the digestive system, sparking lots of curiosity and great questions. In Spanish, we practised numbers and pronunciation. The highlight of the week was our fantastic trip to Eureka, where the children loved exploring the exhibits—especially those linked to our Science topic. Check out the photos!

Week 8 Summary:
In English, the children wrote their retell from the perspective of Jelly, describing her and Gran’s adventure with creativity and detail. In Maths, we continued working on addition and subtraction, building confidence with and without exchange. In Geography, we concluded our unit by answering an enquiry question, and in Science, we explored food chains before investigating how teeth relate to different diets. In Design and Technology, we began our final project—designing and creating our own cushions, showing great creativity and enthusiasm.

Half-Term Homework:

Over the half term, the children have a Geography Carousel to complete, along with plenty of times tables practice and their weekly spellings to revise. We hope everyone has a lovely and restful half term – they’ve worked so hard and truly deserve a break!
