We've finally made it to the end of Autumn 1 and we've had a great start to Year 3.

In Maths, we continued our unit on Addition and Subtraction. The children have been using the coloum method to add and subtract two digit numbers using carrying and exchanging. It has been a tricky topic, but they have perservered and shown resiliance and I am so proud of each one of them.

In Science, we completed our unit on Plants. This week, we looked at pollination and seed disperal. The children were fascinated to learn all about the different parts of a flower and how pollen is transferred from plant to plant by pollinators.

In Geography, we completed our unit on Agriculture. This week, we looked at seasonal fruit and vegetables and why farmers have to consider festivals and traditional foods at specific times of the year.

In Art, we completed our final piece. Each child did a repeated floral print, inspired by William Morris. I can't wait to get them on the wall and showcase the children's work.

I hope you all have a lovely half term and a spooky Halloween!

I will see you refreshed and recharged on Monday 3rd November.
