23.1.26

Date: 23rd Jan 2026 @ 12:25pm

This week in Year 4, we have been busy across all our subjects!

In English, we planned and wrote diary entries from Elliot’s point of view, focusing on detailed character description to bring his thoughts and feelings to life. In Maths, we explored dividing two‑digit and three‑digit numbers by 1, both with and without remainders. Our History lessons took us back to Ancient Greece, where we learned about early democracy and how it helped shape their civilisation. In Science, we investigated different electrical hazards and how to spot and avoid them to stay safe. In DT, we examined a variety of switches and discussed the benefits of each type.

This week’s homework is a Carousel quiz, spellings, and times tables—remember to keep practising regularly and pay special attention to the ones you find tricky. Have a lovely weekend!
