We have enjoyed a fantastic final week of the first summer term!
We visited Chester on Tuesday and experienced the life of a Roman soldier first hand! We marched through the streets led by our very own Roman centurion, chanting in Latin. We practised our battle formations and enjoyed pitching out tactics against another school in the ancient remains of a Roman ampitheatre!
We were taken through the daily lives of a Roman by our time travelling Roman citizen, Pujla. She showed us what Romans ate, how they bathed, went to the toilet (she even showed us the poo stick!), and what armour they wore. We then watched a galdiator fight and Geaorge was our victorious winner! It reall was a fantastic trip and all the children were a credit to the school. They showcased so much of their learning and the staff at the museum were blown away by their knowledge!
We have been practising for the Multiplication check in out times tables sessions, please keep up the daily practice at home using TT rockstars as we will be completing the offical check in the first week back after half term.
Homework this week is a learning postcard, the children get to tell you all about their learning in History. This will be glued into their books so please can everyone bring it back to school after half term.
Have a safe and restful week off and we will see you all back in school in June ready for our final half term of Y4!
