We have had another busy week this week making tie-dye t-shirts ready to complete our run to support the Rainbow Ward at Wigan Infirmery. The children have been really thoughtful in their choice of colours and placement of their patterns.
In Drawing Club, we watched an episode of The Clangers. The children really enjoyed it and came up with some great ideas about where the notes could be hidden when tiny clanger lost her melody. They also thought of fun ways to help Mother Clanger dry her washing!
In maths, we have been exploring shapes. The children enjoyed cutting and moving shapes to make new ones. We also read Mouse Shapes and had lots of fun making our own shape pictures.
In RE, we talked about ways we can look after our world and shared some lovely ideas, including tuning off appliances and making sure we put our rubbish in the bin. In computing, the children created their own aliens and grouped them by their features — they did a fantastic job!
This week was extra special as our butterflies came out of their chrysalis! The children were so excited to see this happen, and we carefully let them go outside. It was a lovely, memorable moment for everyone.
The children have worked so hard this half term - we are very proud of them all!
Have a lovely half term 😊
