Year 4 Weekly Round-Up

In Maths, we've been exploring different angles and shapes, learning all about their unique properties—it's been great to see everyone getting stuck in with identifying and comparing them.

In English, we’ve continued reading The Land of Roar, and we’re really enjoying the adventure so far! We’ve also been focusing on prefixes and how they can change the meaning of words—everyone’s been doing a fantastic job with this.

In Science, we wrapped up our Sound unit. To finish things off, we completed our end of unit quiz and showed off everything we’ve learnt—lots of great knowledge shared!

In Geography, we’ve been learning all about tectonic plates—what they are, where they’re found, and how they link to our learning about volcanoes. It’s been fascinating stuff!

Over in Art, we’ve started looking at the work of Hokusai. We’re learning some of the basic shapes and techniques we’ll be using in our final piece, including how to draw the mountain, zig-zag snow shapes, and the outline of the tree and person.

This week in Forest school, we had lots of fun experimenting with different knot tying techniques.

This week’s homework is a History carousel all about the Romans, as well as spelling and times tables practice.

Well done for all your hard work this week—have a lovely weekend!
