North West Kurling Competition
From the success of winning the Wigan kurling event at Robin Park earlier this year, the Wood Fold kurling team were in action at the North West Championship. The event was held on Thursday 20th June at Bolton Sports Arena. The team were up against teams from all over the North West, such as Bury, Cumbria, Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire.
The team battled hard and showed amazing teamwork and accuracy with each shot. With this, we are pleased to announce that the team came away with the bronze medals, finishing in 3rd place overall, which is an amazing achievement! Player of the tournament goes to Harry (Y5) for his leadership skills, control and pace of the kettles, that won the team many of matches.
