This week in Year 4, we have worked incredibly hard across all of our learning.

In English, we explored The Land of Roar, using the text to help us build rich descriptions before planning our own setting descriptions ready to write next week.

In Maths, we have been learning about triangles, lines of symmetry and making symmetrical shapes with a strong focus on making sure our reflections are accurate. We learned that a regular polygo has the same number of lines of symmetry as its sides. In Geography, we began our new topic on the layers of the Earth, learning about the crust, mantle, outer core and inner core.

We also had a fantastic time at Sports Day on Tuesday, showing great teamwork and cheering each other on.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed a special French lesson with Mr Perrin from Bolton High School, where we learnt how to name family members.

We finished the week with a lovely Forest School session, spotting baby birds and even a frog! Check out our pictures!

Homework this week is a carousel quiz, spellings and times tables practice.
