Year 6 Football
Our Year 6 football team were in action for the final time on Monday after school, when they took on St Bernadette’s at Standish Leisure Centre. As this was the final sporting event of the academic year, and for our Year 6s, the final time to represent Wood Fold, the team were fired up, eager to end with a victory. Throughout the game, the players passed the ball exceptionally well, moving into space to receive the ball, as well as performing fantastic defensive duties, breaking up play for the opposition. I am pleased to announce that Wood Fold won 9-1, with some sublime goals scored by both Olly and Louie. A big shout out goes to Daisy for her brilliant, safe hands in goal, as well as to Olly for earning himself with the player of the match. The team have been superb over the years, and we would like to personally thank all of the Year 6s for their hard work and effort that they have put into their PE and sports. What will be Wood Fold’s loss will certainly be their high school’s gain!
As we draw to a close on another successful sporting year at Wood Fold, below are some key accomplishments and ahievements throughout the academic year that we have been a part of. Well done to all of the children who have represented Wood Fold this year!
