We have had a great week full of learning!
This week in Year 4, we have been busy across all our subjects! In Maths, we have been practising how to multiply and divide a 2‑digit number by a 1‑digit number. In English, we explored the characters of Hermes and Zeus, analysing their personalities and summarising key events, including how the chaos stones have corrupted the gods. In Science, we began our new topic on electricity by learning about mains‑powered and battery‑powered appliances.
In DT, we investigated different types of switches and discussed which would be best for our spotlight designs and why. In History, we continued learning about the Olympics, comparing continuity and change between the Ancient Greek Games and the modern Olympics. We also finished evaluating our masks and are very proud of the results! Throughout the week, we have been continuing to focus on our times tables.
Homework this week is a carousel, spellings, and times tables practice. Everyone should now be using Times Tables Rock Stars at home—please keep practising regularly as it is really important. Have a lovely weekend!
