We had a lovely start to the week down at the forest where the children enjoyed exploring and made butterfly pictures out of natural resources.
This week we have been reading ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy where Baby Bear dreams of going to the moon. The children shared their own hopes and dreams and thought about what they might pack if they went to the moon themselves. They have really embraced learning about Space and have started to record the things we have found out in our floor book.
The children practised overarm throwing in PE and in Music they had lots of fun playing glockenspiels under the trees on the field. In RE we discussed new beginnings, such starting a new school or having a new sibling.
In Maths, we have been making shape pictures with tangrams and have introduced the term ‘rotate’ to describe turning a shape to position it in a picture.
We had lots of fun tie dying our t-shirts ready for our fundraising challenge next week. The children will wear their t-shirt for their final run on Friday and bring them home.
Have a lovely weekend! 😊
