We have had another great week in Year 3 this week, with lots of fantastic learning taking place. Here is a breakdown of our week:

Maths
In Maths, we have been learning how to multiply and divide a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number. The children worked hard to apply their skills and explain their thinking.

Geography
We explored the question “What are rivers?” and learned about famous rivers in the UK and around the world, developing map skills and geographical knowledge.

Science
Our Science learning focused on rocks, where we learned about sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks and how they are formed.

English
In English, we continued reading The Girl Who Lost the Leopard. We explored the character of Uncle Kandaraja and discussed his impact on Selvi and her mother, sharing thoughtful ideas and opinions.

PE
In PE, the children enjoyed learning the skills of Handball, focusing on teamwork and coordination.

RE
In RE, we explored Christianity and leadership, discussing what makes a good leader.

Computing
We have been busy in Computing:
  • Practising times tables using TT Rockstars (all children have their login details in their homework books)
  • Using Scratch to explore sequencing sprite characters
Music
In Music, we began learning how to play the recorder, practising correct technique and listening skills.

R Time
During R Time, we worked as a team to draw a robot, developing communication and collaboration skills.

Thank you for your continued support.
Homework is due in on Wednesday.
Have a lovely weekend!
