Lacrosse Festival

On Monday, children from Years 5 and 6 took part in a lacrosse festival, which was held at Leigh Sports Village. The children were introduced to the sport, as well as how to use the equipment. The children then took part in a variety of different skills to enhance their performance. These activities included ball handling, passing, moving with the ball and shooting in the goal. The children thoroughly enjoyed the festival and have taken a lot of skills and experience away with them ready to return in the Spring term to compete against the other schools.

Anti-Bullying Course (ABC)

As part of anti-bullying week, our sports councillors organised and created a relay type game for anyone to join in and have fun. The game was aimed at reducing stress, having friendly competition with friends, as well as enjoying themselves and having fun. A huge thank you to all of the sports councillors for giving up your time at lunchtimes to be such nurturing characters and role models for the younger children of the school, as well a getting them engaged into physical activity.
