We've had a fantastic week again in Year 3!

In Maths, we have finished our unit on fractions by looking at equivalent fractions on a number line and in bar charts. On Thursday, we started our new unit on mass and capacity.
In English, we have started our new class text 'Secrets of a sun king' and met Lil who's had a package delivered for her grandad, but grandad is in hospital and she is having trouble visiting him.
In History, we looked at the different civilisations in Ancient Egypt and learned who King Menes was and how he conquered the whole of Egypt and became the first Pharaoh.
In Science, we have completed an investigation to see what surface a toy car moves fastest on. The children looked at what makes a fair test and made a prediction before completing the experiment.
In Computing, we started our new unit on branching databases and looked at what a yes or no question is and how they are used within a branching database. We also looked at how we can group objects due to their attributes.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
