We've had a great week again in Year 3.
In Maths, we have continued learning about Place Value and the children have been representing and partitioning numbers to 1,000.
In English, we have continued to read 'The Abominables'. Lady Agatha is very concerned that the yetis are going to be discovered because of Lucy's footprints that were left in the snow. Meanwhile, Con has joined Lady Agatha and the family of yetis and has agreed to transport them to England for their own protection.
In Science, we have been recapping the different parts of a plant and learning about their functions within the plant.
In Art, we looked at the artist William Morris who is famous for his large repeated patterns. We learned about the techniques he used and created an artist research page in our scrapbooks. The children loved creating a collage background with all different pieces of paper with his designs on.
In PSHE, we explored rules. We talked about why we have rules, why they are important and what would happen if we didn't have rules.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
