This week we have continued reading ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ by Rhonda and David Armitage. The children have designed some delicious dinners for Mrs Grinling to make for Mr Grinling while he’s working hard, tending to the lighthouse. We have been learning about the different features of a lighthouse – the children have drawn some lovely pictures of lighthouses and have even used their phonics knowledge to label them!
In Maths, we have been learning about odds and evens. The children did a great job at working out which numbers from 1-10 are odd and even by sharing counters with a partner.
The children had a fantastic day on sport’s day and showed great sportsmanship.
Last week, our caterpillars arrived – the children have been observing the caterpillars everyday and have predicted that they will make their chrysalis next week.
We finished the week with our Father’s Day assembly, where the children sang a special song and poem, we were very proud of them.
