This week in Year 4, we have enjoyed a busy and engaging week of learning across the curriculum.

In English, we have begun our new class text Land of Roar and have been focusing on developing our reading skills. The children have practised answering reading questions and have started to explore the characters in depth, particularly analysing Rose and Arthur and considering their thoughts and feelings.

In Maths, we have been investigating angles, looking at the size of turns and comparing different angles, before applying this knowledge to identifying and classifying triangles and quadrilaterals. In History, we completed our unit by exploring the continuity and change in Britain as it became Romanised. We discussed the positive and negative impacts of the Roman invasion and proudly shared our knowledge through our enquiry questions.

In Spanish, we have been learning to name and identify different family members, and in comprehension we have focused on finding similar words in context to support our understanding of texts.

We also had a wonderful afternoon in the forest, enjoying time outdoors, exploring and playing in the mud.

Homework this week is a Carousel quiz, spellings and continued times tables practice to keep these skills fresh. Have a lovely weekend!
