This week in English, we wrote  a narrative from Thanatos’ point of view.I have been amazed by the independent choice of fantastic vocabulary and the detail the children have used.  We have also focused on punctuating speech accurately so we can convey dialoguw within the narrative. An excellent effort from everyone!

In Maths, we worked on identifying factor pairs and learned how to use them to solve more complex multiplication problems such as 15 x 8.  We can break this down into factor pairs of 5x3x4x2, then rearrange this to 5x4x3x2 so that we can solve it menatlly.  This was a real challenge, but everyone worked hard to understand this.

Our Science lessons introduced us to reversible changes that involve heating, evaporation, cooling, and condensation—and irreversible changes that cannot be undone.

In History, we delved deeper into exploring the Greek Gods and learned what they controlled and what symbols are associated with each of them.

During Art, we analysed the work of our focus artist Peggy Bjerkan and compared her style to another artist we’ve studied, George Segal.

We also had lots of fun on Wednesday, proudly showing off our Christmas jumpers and raising money for a great cause—it was lovely to see all the children’s fantastic designs!

This week’s homework is a Music Carousel, spellings, and plenty of times tables practice on TT Rockstars.

Have a wonderful weekend!
