We've had another great week in Year 3 this week, with lots of fantastic learning taking place.

In Maths, we have continued our topic on Place Value. The children have been representing and partitioning numbers to 1,000.

In English, we have been reading 'The Abominables'. Lady Agatha is very concerned that the yetis are going to be discovered because of Lucy's footprints that were left in the snow. Meanwhile, Con has joined Lady Agatha and the family of yetis and has agreed to transport them to England for their own protection.

In Science, we have been recapping the different parts of the plant, which we learned about in Year 2. Then, we moved on to learn about the functions of these different parts.

In Art, we looked at William Morris, who is famous for his large repeated patterns. We discussed his techniques and created an artist research page to showcase everything we had learnt about him.

In PSHE, we explored rules. We talked about why we have rules, why they are important and what would happen if we didn't have rules. The children gave some great responses!

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
